Analysis of the Correlation between Thyroid Hormone Levels and Differ-ent Gestational Stages of Maternity
Objective To investigate the correlation between different gestational periods and thyroid hormone levels. Methods 260 cases of normal pregnant women admitted to Weifang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2020 to December 2023 were purposefully selected as the study subjects, and according to the different gestation peri-ods,the pregnant women were divided into early pregnancy group(n=87),mid-pregnancy group(n=87),and late preg-nancy group(n=86).The thyroid hormone levels of the three groups were compared, and the correlation between thy-roid hormone levels and different gestation stages was analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Results Com-pared with the early pregnancy group and the mid-pregnancy group, the late pregnancy group had lower levels of free triiodothyronine(FT3)and free thyroxine(FT4),and higher levels of thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH),and the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Compared with the early pregnancy group, the mid-pregnancy group had lower levels of FT3 and FT4 and higher levels of TSH,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).FT3 and FT4 levels were negatively correlated with gestational cycle(r=-0.562,-0.327,both P<0.05),and TSH was positively correlated with gestational cycle(r=0.669,P<0.05).Conclusion There are differences in thyroid hor-mone levels in pregnant women at different gestational periods,FT3 and FT4 levels are negatively correlated with ges-tational cycles, and TSH levels are positively correlated with gestational cycles.
