Exploring the Clinical Efficacy of Using a Bridging Combination Internal Fixation System for External Fixation in the Treatment of Open Fractures of the Middle and Lower Tibia
Objective To explore the clinical effect of using a bridge combination internal fixation system for external fixation treatment of open middle and lower tibial fractures. Methods Sixty patients with open lower middle tibia frac-tures admitted to Tengzhou Central People's Hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 were non-randomly selected as study objects. They were divided into the reference group(minimally invasive locking plate internal fixation)and the research group(external fixation with bridging combined internal fixation system)according to the different surgical methods,30 cases each. The surgical indexes, treatment effects and complications of the two groups were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of operation time and intraop-erative bleeding(both P>0.05).The fracture healing time and full weight-bearing exercise time of the study group were shorter than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The ex-cellent rate of patients in the study group was 100.00%(30/30),which was higher than 80.00%(24/30)in the refer-ence group, the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.631,P<0.05).The complication rate of patients in the study group was lower than that of the reference group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Bridging combined internal fixation system external fixation for the treatment of open middle and lower tibial fractures can shorten the fracture healing time and reduce can not increase the incidence of complications.
