Effect Analysis of Middle Turbinate Mucosa Flap Covering Pterygotomy in Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis
Objective To investigate the effect of middle turbinate mucosa flap covering pterygotomy in patients with allergic rhinitis.Methods A total of 60 patients with allergic rhinitis admitted to the People's Hospital of Hezhang County,Guizhou Province from January to December 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects.According to different surgical methods,they were divided into the observation group(30 cases)and the control group(30 cases).The treatment method of the observation group was the middle turbinate mucosal flap covering pterygotomy,while the treatment method of the control group was the traditional pterygotomy.Nasal congestion symptom score,epithelializa-tion time,wound repair time and postoperative complication rate were compared between the two groups.Results Be-fore operation,there was no statistical significance in the score of nasal congestion between the two groups(P>0.05).After operation,the score of nasal congestion between the two groups were significantly lower than those before opera-tion,and the observation group was lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The epithelialization time and wound repair time in observation group were shorter than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the obser-vation group was 3.33%(1/30)lower than 26.67%(8/30)in the control group,and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(χ2=4.706,P<0.05).Conclusion The application of middle turbinate mucosal flap covering the pterygoid ca-nal nerve transection in the treatment of allergic rhinitis patients is effective.
