Analysis of the Application Effect of Minimally Invasive Nasal Endoscopic Surgery Combined with Glucocorticoids in the Clinical Treatment of Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps and its Impact on the Complica-tion Rate
Objective To analyze the effect of endoscopic minimally invasive surgery combined with glucocorticoid in the clinical treatment of chronic sinusitis complicated with nasal polyps and its influence on the incidence of complica-tions.Methods Clinical data of 100 patients with chronic sinusitis complicated with nasal polyps admitted to Depart-ment of Otolaryngology,Xiantao Third Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected,and grouped by different treatment methods,with 50 cases in each group.The conventional group was treated with minimally invasive nasal endoscopic surgery,and the combined group was treated with minimally invasive nasal endo-scopic surgery combined with glucocorticoid.The therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared.Results After treatment,the symptom score and olfactory disorder score of the combined group were lower than those of the conven-tional group,and the treatment effective rate was higher than that of the conventional group,the difference were statis-tically significant(all P<0.05).The complication rate of the combined group was 4.00%(2/50),which was lower than 16.00%(8/50)of the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.000,P<0.05).Conclu-sion Minimally invasive nasal endoscopic surgery combined with glucocorticoids showed good results in the clinical treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps,which not only effectively relieved the uncomfortable symptoms and improved the olfactory function,but also increased the therapeutic efficacy and lowered the complication rate.
