Evaluation of the Efficacy of Holmium Laser Lithotripsy under First-stage Ureteroscopy for the Treatment of Patients with Incarcerated Upper Ure-teral Stones
Objective To analyze the effect of one-stage ureteral soft lens holmium laser lithotripsy for the treatment of incarcerated upper ureteral calculi. Methods 78 patients with entrapment ureteral upper calculi admitted to Jian-gyin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2022 to September 2023 were non-randomly selected as the study subjects and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods,39 cases each. The com-parison group underwent ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy, while the practice group underwent one-stage ure-teroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy. The effects of lithotripsy, renal function, pain degree and complications were com-pared between the two groups. Results The operation time of practice group were longer than those of comparison group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).There was no significant difference in renal function, pain degree and discharge time between the two groups(all P>0.05).The incidence of complications in the practice group was 12.80%(5/39),lower than 33.33%(13/39)in the comparison group, and the difference was statisti-cally significant(χ2=4.622,P<0.05).Conclusion Ureteroscopic soft holmium laser lithotripsy for the treatment of in-carcerated upper ureteral calculi has a high success rate, good stone removal effect and few complications.
