Clinical Value Analysis of Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy Technique in Breast Cancer Radiotherapy
Objective To explore the clinical value of intensity modulated radiotherapy in breast cancer radiotherapy. Methods A total of 78 breast cancer radiotherapy patients admitted to the Radiotherapy Department of Pizhou People's Hospital from January 2021 to October 2023 were non-randomly selected as the study objects.According to different radiotherapy techniques, the patients treated with conventional radiotherapy were divided into control group(n=39)and those treated with intensity modulated radiotherapy were divided into observation group(n=39).After 5 weeks of continuous treatment, the local control rate, lung receptivity and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After 5 weeks of treatment, the local control rate of observation group was slightly higher than that of control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The lung indices of V50,V40,V30,V20,V10 and V5 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of radiation dermatitis in the observation group was 5.13%(2/39)and 2.56%(1/39),which were lower than 20.51%(8/39)and 20.51%(8/39)in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=4.129,4.522,both P<0.05).Conclusion Intensity modulated radiotherapy has the same ef-fect as conventional radiotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer, but it is safer and helps to reduce lung damage.
