Effectiveness of Combining Piperacillin Sodium Tazobactam Sodium and Dexamethasone in the Treatment of Community-Acquired Pneumonia with Fever
Objective To explore the efficacy of combination therapy with piperacillin sodium tazobactam sodium and dexamethasone in patients with community-acquired pneumonia with fever. Methods A total of 86 community-acquired pneumoniafrom patients with fever in Hongquan Hospital of Yangzhou from February 2020 to October 2010 were obiectively selected. They were grouped by thethe different administration methods, they were divided into con-trol group and observation group, with 43 cases in each group. In the control group, piperacillin sodium taazobactam sodium injection, the observation group added dexamethasone injection,to compare the treatment effect, time to symp-tom improvement, level of inflammatory factors and adverse effects. Results Higher efficacy rate in the observation group was 95.35%(41/43)was higher compared to the control group 79.07%(34/43),the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.108,P<0.05).The improvement time of various symptoms and levels of inflammatory factors in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the adverse reaction rate ratio between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The addition of dexamethasone to piperacillin sodium tazobactam sodium therapy in pa-tients with community-acquired pneumonia associated with fever improves the therapeutic and reduces the inflamma-tory response, and is worthy of promotion.
