The Therapeutic Effect of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Combined with Drug Intervention in Patients with Refractory Schizophrenia and its Impact on Event-related Potentials and Cognitive Function
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with drug inter-vention in patients with refractory schizophrenia and its impact on event related potentials and cognitive function. Methods 300 patients with refractory schizophrenia who were hospitalized at Shihezi Oasis Hospital in Xinjiang from December 2019 to December 2023 were objectively selected as the research subjects and divided into an observation group and a control group by different treatment, with 150 each.Among them, the control group received single treat-ment with sulfamethoxide, and the observation group received combined treatment with transcranial magnetic stimula-tion.The clinical application value of the two groups was analyzed. Results The clinical efficacy of the observation group 98.00% (147/150)was better than 84.00% (126/150)of the control group, the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=17.949,P<0.05).The observation group had a higher number of completed classifications after treatment compared to the control group, and the scores of other dimensions were lower than the control group;the target latency P3 and N2 in the observation group were improved compared to the control group after treatment;and the social func-tion score in the observation group was improved compared to the control group after treatment, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of transcranial magnetic stimulation and medication guidance can improve the clinical treatment effect, cognitive function, and social function of patients with refractory schizophrenia.
