Evaluation of Diagnostic Efficacy of Dry Chemical Method and Urine Sedi-ment Method in Routine Urine Test
Objective To explore the value of using dry chemical method and urine sediment method in urine routine examination. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with suspected urinary tract infection admitted to Gaoqing Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Shandong Province from January to December 2023 were non-randomly se-lected as the study objects.Dry chemical method and urinary sediment method were used to test the results of micros-copy as the gold standard, and the diagnostic efficacy of different methods in urine routine diagnosis was analyzed. Results The positive detection rate was 60.00% (72/120)by microscopy,51.67% (62/120)by dry chemical method,54.17% (65/120)by urine sediment method and 59.17% (71/120)by combined test. The sensitivity, specificity and ac-curacy of the combined test were higher than that of dry chemical method, and the sensitivity and accuracy were higher than that of urine sediment method, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no sta-tistically significant difference in diagnostic efficacy between dry chemical method and urine sediment method(all P>0.05).Conclusion In urine routine examination, dry chemical method combined with urine sediment method can im-prove the diagnostic efficiency.
