Efficacy of Ranibizumab and Retinal Laser Photocoagulation in the Treat-ment of Severe Non-proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy
Objective To analyze the efficacy of ranibizumab combined with retinal laser photocoagulation in the treat-ment of severe nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy. Methods Ninety-six patients with severe nonproliferative dia-betic retinopathy admitted to Hengyang Central Hospital from January 2022 to May 2023 were non-randomly selected as study subjects. They were divided into two groups according to treatment methods, with forty-eight cases in each group. The comparison group was treated with retinal laser photocoagulation, and the treatment group was treated with retinal laser photocoagulation combined with ranibizumab.Naked visual acuity and complications were compared be-tween the two groups. Results After treatment, the naked visual acuity of the treatment group was 0.31±0.08,which was higher than 0.25±0.07 of the comparison group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.910,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the complication rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of retinal laser photocoagulation combined with ranibizumab in the treatment of severe nonprolifera-tive diabetic retinopathy is effective in restoring patients'naked visual acuity and improving their visual fields.
