Clinical Value of Peripheral Blood Smear Combined with Bone Marrow Cell Morphology Examination in the Diagnosis of Hematological Diseases
Objective To investigate the clinical value of peripheral blood smear combined with bone marrow cell mor-phological examination in the diagnosis of leukemia. Methods Fifty-seven suspected leukemia patients admitted to Xinxing County People's Hospital in Yunfu City from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected as the research ob-jects by target sampling method. All patients underwent peripheral blood smear examination and bone marrow cell morphology examination, with the gold standard being bone marrow biopsy.Compare the diagnostic efficacy of two ex-amination methods. Results The area under the curve for diagnosing leukemia by peripheral blood smear examination, bone marrow cell morphology examination, and combined examination was 0.782,0.853,and 0.911,respectively.The sensitivity of peripheral blood smear examination, bone marrow cell morphology examination, and combined examina-tion was 85.37% (35/41),87.80% (36/41),and 97.56% (40/41),respectively,and the specificity was 31.25% (5/16),75.00% (12/16),and 87.50% (14/16).Conclusion For patients with hematological diseases, the combination of periph-eral blood smear and bone marrow cell morphology examination can improve diagnostic efficiency and has high appli-cation value.
