The Effect of Step Decompression Combined with Decompressive Craniec-tomy in the Treatment of Severe Craniocerebral Trauma Patients
Objective To investigate the effect of step decompression combined with decompressive craniotomy on pa-tients with severe craniocerebral trauma. Methods A total of sixty patients with severe craniocerebral trauma admitted to Jiangyan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Taizhou City from January 2019 to October 2023 were non-randomly selected as the study subjects. They were divided into control group(n=30,decompressive craniotomy)and observation group(n=30,stepped decompression combined with decompressive craniotomy)according to different op-eration methods, and the treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results The duration of operation,hospi-talization and ICU observation in the observation group was shorter, and the intraoperative blood loss was less, the dif-ferences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The scores of Glasgow Coma Scale and Karnofsky Performance Sta-tus in the study group were 11.12±1.42 and 79.02±3.41,which were higher than 8.22±3.24 and 76.34±2.48 in the con-trol group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=3.132,3.481,both P<0.05).Conclusion Step decom-pression combined with craniotomy can effectively reduce intracranial pressure and improve coma index and self-care ability of patients with severe craniocerebral trauma.
