Effectiveness of Eucalyptus-pinene Enteric Capsule in the Treatment of se-cretory Otitis Media
Objective To investigate the efficacy of eucalyptus-pinocampus enteric capsule in the treatment of secre-tory otitis media.Methods Eighty-six children with secretory otitis media admitted to Jiangyan District Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Taizhou City from January 2020 to December 2023 were non-randomly selected as the study subjects,and were divided into two groups of forty-three cases each according to the treatment method.The control group was treated with conventional treatment,and the observation group was treated with eucalyptus-pinol enteric capsule on the basis of conventional treatment.The two groups were compared in terms of treatment effect,Seven-item Eustachian Tube Dysfunction Questionnaire score,subjective symptom score and hearing level.Results The total ef-fective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.35% (41/43),which was higher than 79.07% (34/43)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.108,P<0.05).The Seven-item Eustachian Tube Dysfunction Questionnaire scores and subjective symptom score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the hearing level were better than those of the control group,the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The use of eucalyptus pinnatifida enteric capsule in the treatment of children with secretory otitis media can obtain better efficacy,effectively improve the symptoms of children and improve the level of hearing.
