Analysis of the Value of Oral Misoprostol in Promoting Cervical Ripening During Induction of Labor in Late Pregnancy
Objective To analyze the value of oral misoprostol in promoting cervical maturation in late pregnancy in-duced labor.Methods Clinical data of 160 cases of late pregnancy parturient admitted to Yueyang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from February 2022 to November 2023 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups ac-cording to medication treatment methods,with 80 cases in each group.The reference group was treated with Dinopros-tol supposition,and the observation group was treated with misoprostol.Cervical score,time index,postpartum blood loss and incidence of neonatal asphyxia were compared between the two groups.Results The cervical score of observa-tion group was 8.29±1.02,higher than 7.17±1.14 of reference group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=6.725,P<0.05).The time indexes and postpartum blood loss of the observation group were better than those of the ref-erence group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of neonatal asphyxia in the observation group was slightly lower than that in the reference group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Oral misoprostol can promote cervical maturation,accelerate delivery efficiency,and not increase the incidence of neonatal asphyxia.
