The Study of Intestinal Flora in the Pathogensis of Adolescent Depressive Disorders
Depression disorders have become a serious threat to the mental health of adolescents.Currently,for ado-lescents with depressive disorders,the efficacy of first-line antidepressant medications is limited with more adverse re-actions.Given that adolescent depression disorders may represent a specific subtype of depression,exploring new treatment approaches becomes particularly important.Recent studies have shown that modulating the gut microbiota can effectively improve depressive symptoms,mainly through the bidirectional communication mechanism of the microbiota-gut-brain axis(MGB).This article reviews the composition and function of the gut microbiota,and dis-cusses in detail the mechanisms of action of the gut microbiota in adolescent depression disorders.The article also summarizes the clinical prospects of the gut microbiota in the treatment of adolescent depression disorders,aiming to provide reference for further research on adolescent depression disorders.
