Diagnostic Value of Combined Tests for Monocyte Distribution Width,Cal-citoninogen,Hypersensitive C-reactive Protein, and Interleukin 6 in Pa-tients with Sepsis
Objective The diagnostic value of combined detection of monocyte distribution width(MDW),procalcito-nin(PCT),hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CPR)and interleukin 6(IL-6)in patients with sepsis was analyzed. Methods Fifty-two cases of sepsis patients admitted to Donghai County People's Hospital from March 2022 to Febru-ary 2024 were selected non-randomly,and twenty-six cases were divided into twenty-six cases in the mild group and twenty-six cases in the severe group according to the degree of the condition, and another twenty-six healthy medical check-ups were selected as the control group in the same period.Compared the levels of the above indicators among the 3 groups of examinees and analyzed the diagnostic value of single and combined testing of the indicators. Results The levels of PCT,IL-6,hs-CPR,and MDW were compared among the 3 groups, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The sensitivity of combined detection was 94.23%(49/52)and the accuracy was 94.87%(74/78),which was higher than that of the single test of PCT,IL-6,hs-CPR,and MDW,which was 71.15%(37/52),76.92%(60/78),69.23%(36/52),74.36%(58/78),67.31%(35/52),74.36%(58/78),65.38%(34/52),and 70.51%(55/78),and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=13.425,16.169,both P<0.05).Conclusion The diagnostic ef-ficacy of combined monocyte distribution width, calcitoninogen, hypersensitive C-reactive protein, and interleukin 6 testing is high in patients with sepsis.
