Study on the Therapeutic Effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen Intervention at Dif-ferent Timing in the Treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of hyperbaric oxygen(HBO)intervention at different times in the treatment of traumatic brain injury(TBI).Methods A total of eighty-eight TBI patients who received HBO treat-ment in Zhangqiu District People's Hospital of Jinan City from August 2022 to July 2023 were non-randomly selected as the study objects, and grouped according to HBO interventional treatment time, with forty-four in each group.Pa-tients in the study group received HBO treatment 8-15 days after injury, and the control group received HBO treat-ment 16~30 days after injury. The efficacy,Disability Rating Scale(DRS)and Modified Barthel Index(MBI)scores of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 95.45%(42/44),which was higher than 79.55%(35/44)of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.091,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in DRS and MBI between the two groups before treatment(both P>0.05).Compared with the control group,DRS score of the study group was lower and MBI score was higher after 3 months of follow-up,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Early implementation of HBO treatment in TBI patients after their condition stabilizes can effectively improve clinical efficacy, reduce disability, and promote the recovery of daily living activities.
