Analysis of the Effect of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Support on Che-motherapy Patients with Colon Cancer
Objective To observe the effectiveness of enteral and parenteral nutrition support in patients with colorec-tal cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Methods From January 2021 to May 2024,eighty patients with colorectal cancer chemotherapy admitted to Ruikang Hospital Affiliated to Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were non-randomly selected as the research objects. They were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods, forty cases in each group. The observation group was given enteral and parenteral nutrition support, and the control group was given parenteral nutrition support. The symptom scores, nutritional status, immune function, degree of cancer-related fatigue and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the symptom score, nutritional status, immune function and cancer-related fatigue in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 2.50%(1/40),lower than 15.00%(6/40)in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(χ2=3.914,P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with colorectal cancer chemotherapy, the use of en-teral nutrition support has important clinical significance, which can improve discomfort symptoms, optimize nutri-tional status, enhance immune function, reduce the degree of cancer-related fatigue, and reduce adverse reactions.
