Clinical Study of Virtual Reality Technology Combined with Surface Elec-tromyography Used in the Fine Functional Rehabilitation after Viral En-cephalitis in Children
Objective To investigate the effect of Virtual reality(VR)technology combined with surface electromyogra-phy(sEMG)on fine function after viral encephalitis in children. Methods From July 2021 to December 2022,sixty children aged six to forteen years old diagnosed with viral encephalitis and upper limb fine dysfunction in the Depart-ment of Children's Rehabilitation of Jiangbin Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were non-randomly se-lected as the research objects.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into control group(routine rehabilitation treatment)and study group(sEMG combined with VR+routine rehabilitation treatment),thirty cases in each group. The upper limb function and grip strength scores of the two groups were compared. Results After treat-ment,the upper limb function scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the grip strength score of the study group was 16.17±6.59,which was higher than that of the control group 11.67±5.62,and the difference was statistically significant(t=2.846,P<0.05).Conclusion sEMG combined with VR can effectively improve the fine function of children with viral encephalitis.
