Application of Etomidate Emulsion Injection Combined with Propofol Emulsion Injection for General Anesthesia in Elderly Patients Undergoing Hip Replacement
Objective To investigate the effect of general anesthesia(GA)with etomidate emulsion injection combined with propofol emulsion injection in elderly patients undergoing hip arthroplasty(HA).Methods Eighty cases of elderly patients with HA admitted to Xuzhou Mining Group General Hospital from February 2023 to February 2024 were ob-jectively selected, and were divided into study group and control group according to different anesthesia methods, with forty cases in each group. The control group was treated with propofol emulsion injection GA,and the study group was treated with etomidate emulsion injection combined with propofol emulsion injection GA.The anesthetic effect,hemo-dynamics,cognitive function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results There were no sig-nificant differences in the anesthetic effect between the two groups(P>0.05).The mean arterial pressure and heart rate of the study group were higher than those of the control group before tracheal intubation(T1),30 min after tracheal in-tubation(T3),and at the end of the operation(T4),and the mean arterial pressure and heart rate of the study group were lower than those of the control group at the time of tracheal intubation(T2),and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).At 24 h and 48 h after operation, the cognitive function scores of the two groups were lower than those before operation, but the study group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(both P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the study group(15.00%,6/40)and the control group(22.50%,9/40)(χ2=0.328,P>0.05).Conclusion The use of etomi-date and propofol GA in elderly patients with HA can alleviate hemodynamic changes and cognitive impairment, and has high safety and sedative effects.
