Effect of Leizumab Combined with Laser on BCVA and CMT in Diabetic Macular Edema
Objective To analyze the effects of lezumab combined with laser on best corrected vision acuity(BCVA)and central macular thickness(CMT)in the treatment of diabetic macular edema.Methods A total of eighty-two pa-tients with diabetic macular edema admitted to Juxian Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2022 to March 2023 were non-randomly selected as the study objects,and were divided into study group and control group ac-cording to different treatment methods,with forty-one cases in each group.The control group was treated with laser,and the study group was treated with leizumab.The clinical efficacy,visual acuity recovery results,clinical indexes and complications were compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of the study group was 97.56% (40/41),which was higher than 82.93%(34/41)of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.987,P<0.05).After treatment,BCVA in both groups was increased,and BCVA in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,CMT,macular retinal thickness and IOP in the study group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of leizumab and laser therapy for diabetic macular edema can im-prove BCVA and CMT,improve clinical efficacy,and have good safety.
