Clinical Effect Analysis of Mechanical Ventilation Combined with Fiberop-tic Bronchoscopy in Treatment of Senile Severe Pneumonia
Objective To analyze the effect of mechanical ventilation combined with fiberoptic bronchoscopy in the treatment of elderly patients with severe pneumonia. Methods Sixty-six cases of elderly patients with severe pneumo-nia admitted to Suining County People's Hospital from January 2021 to August 2023 were non-randomly selected as study objects. They were divided into two groups according to treatment methods, with thirty-three cases in each group. The control group was given mechanical ventilation combined with conventional treatment, and the observation group was treated with fiberoptic bronchoscopy on the basis of the control group.Compared the treatment-related in-dexes,blood gas indexes and inflammation indexes of the two groups. Results The observation group's mechanical ventilation time(11.42±3.46)d,infection control time(4.22±1.33)d,and hospitalization time(12.42±3.62)d,were shorter than the control group's(15.62±3.56)d,(6.55±1.32)d,and(17.62±3.66)d,and the differences were statisti-cally significant(t=4.860,7.143,5.803,all P<0.05).After treatment, the blood gas indexes of the observation group were better than those of the control group, and the levels of inflammation indexes were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Mechanical ventilation combined with fiberoptic bronchoscopy in the treatment of elderly patients with severe pneumonia promotes regression, improves their blood gas indices, and reduces the inflammatory response.
