Analysis of Factors Influencing the Efficacy of Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Gastric Cancer
Objective To explore and analyze the factors influencing the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)for gastric cancer. Methods The clinical data of sixty patients with gastric cancer(GC)who received NAC treatment in the Department of Gastroenterology at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 2019 to June 2022 were Retrospectively selected.According to the tumor regression grade(TRG),it was divided into an effective group(n=33)and an ineffective group(n=27).Compare the clinical data of two groups of patients and use multivariate logistic regression analysis to screen for independent factors that can predict therapeutic efficacy. Results The effec-tive rate of NAC in this study was 55.00% (33/60).Logistic regression analysis showed that patients with gastric can-cer had higher platelet distribution width before NAC(OR=18.629,95%CI:3.448-180.463)and higher adenosine de-aminase(OR=12.798,95%CI:2.554-104.447)and late clinical T stage(OR=19.398,95%CI:2.386-372.960)were in-dependent risk factors for the efficacy of NAC for gastric cancer(all P<0.05).Higher urea levels(OR=0.045,95%CI:0.005-0.094)were independent protective factors for the efficacy of NAC in gastric cancer(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical T stage of tumors, platelet distribution width, adenosine deaminase, and urea in patients before NAC are inde-pendent influencing factors for predicting treatment efficacy. When screening gastric cancer patients suitable for NAC,special attention should be paid to the above indicators.
