Analysis of the Application Value of β-Lactam Antibiotics in the Treat-ment of Children with Respiratory Tract Infectious Diseases
Objective To investigate the value of β-lactam antibiotics in the treatment of children with respiratory tract infectious diseases. Methods A total of seventy-six children with respiratory tract infectious diseases admitted to Jining Third People's Hospital from March 2022 to January 2024 were non-randomly selected as the study subjects, and divided into control group(thirty-eight cases treated with cefotaxime sodium)and observation group(thirty-eight cases treated with cefotaxime sodium combined with azithromycin)according to different treatment methods. The lev-els of inflammatory factors, immune function and respiratory function of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the levels of interleukin 6(87.73±11.17)ng/L and C-reactive protein(2.27±0.68)mg/L in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(106.89±15.74)ng/L and(3.88±0.87)mg/L,the difference were statis-tically significant(t=7.675,12.564,both P<0.05).After treatment,T lymphocyte subsets CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+in observation group were higher than those in control group, while CD8+levels were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, all the values of respiratory function in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of β-lactam antibiotics in the treatment of children with respiratory tract infectious diseases can significantly improve the level of inflammatory factors, immune function and respiratory function.
