Analysis of Clinical Effect of Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate Com-bined with Azithromycin in the Treatment of Pediatric Lobar Pneumonia
Objective To study the effect of methylprednisolone sodium succinate combined with azithromycin in the treatment of children with lobar pneumonia and the effect on serum inflammatory factor levels. Methods Ninety-eight children with lobar pneumonia admitted to Shuyang County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2023 were non-randomly selected as study subjects, and were divided into two groups according to treatment methods, with forty-nine cases in each group. The reference group was given azithromycin treatment, and the treatment group was given azithromycin combined with methylprednisolone sodium succinate treatment. The two groups were compared in terms of symptom improvement time, lung function indexes, inflammatory factor indexes,to-tal effective rate of treatment, and adverse reactions. Results The symptom improvement time, lung function indexes, and inflammatory factor levels of the treatment group were better than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 97.96% (48/49),which was higher than 83.67%(41/49)of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.405,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combined treatment of pediatric lobar pneumonia with methylprednisolone sodium succinate combined with azithromycin is efficacious, can rapidly improve the symptoms and lung function of children, reduce the level of inflammatory factors, and is safe.
