Study on the Accuracy and Misdiagnosis Rate of Urine Routine,Blood Routine and Combined Diagnosis of Acute Appendicitis in Children
Objective To explore the application value of urine routine examination, blood routine examination and combined diagnosis of acute appendicitis in children. Methods Eighty-six children with suspected acute appendicitis admitted to Jilin Baishan People's Hospital from January 2021 to November 2023 were non-randomly selected in the study. All of them underwent routine urine test, routine blood test and combined diagnosis. The clinical diagnostic value was judged by the postoperative pathological results as the gold standard, and the differences of CRP levels be-fore and after the operation were analyzed. Results Seventy-three cases were positive and thirteen cases were negative diagnose by postoperative pathological examination. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, misdiagnosis rate and missed diagnosis rate of routine combined diagnosis of urine and blood were 97.26% (71/73),92.31%(12/13),96.51%(83/86),7.69%(1/13)and 2.74%(2/73)respectively,better than the diagnosis rate of routine 86.30%(63/73),53.85%(7/13),81.40%(70/86),46.15%(6/13),13.70%(10/73)and the diagnosis rate of blood 87.67%(64/73),46.15%(6/13),81.40%(70/86),53.85%(7/13),12.33%(9/73),the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Routine urine test and routine urine test have significant diagnostic value for acute appendicitis in children, and the diagnostic accuracy is high, which can reduce the probability of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis,so that children can receive treatment as soon as possible and improve their prognosis.
