Study on the Recovery of Facial Nerve Function in Bell's palsy by Mastoid Bone Puncture,Facial Dial Needle and Meridian Acupuncture
Objective To explore the effect of mastoid bone puncture, facial needle and meridian acupuncture on the recovery of facial nerve function in Bell's palsy. Methods The clinical data of forty patients with Bell's palsy admit-ted to the Second People's Hospital of Baiyin from August 2022 to May 2023 were retrospectively selected.Grouped by different treatment methods, twenty cases in each group. The control group was treated with simple acupuncture, and the treatment group was combined with mastoid bone surgery, facial needle and meridian acupuncture. The TCM syndrome scores, facial nerve function and facial function damage were compared between the two groups. Results Af-ter treatment, the scores of traditional chinese medicine syndromes in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the facial nerve function classification in the treatment group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).The score of facial function damage in the treatment group was 33.67±2.29,which was lower than 40.31±3.33 of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.348,all P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of mastoid bone puncture, facial dial needle and meridian sinew acupuncture has a significant effect on the recovery of facial nerve function in Bell's palsy.Compared with simple acupuncture treatment,it can more effec-tively improve the symptoms of patients and promote the recovery of facial nerve function.
