Clinical Application of Platelet-rich Plasma Combined with VSD in the Re-pair of Chronic Foot Wound
Objective To explore the effect of platelet-rich plasma combined with vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)on the repair of chronic foot wounds. Methods A total of fifty-eight patients with chronic foot wounds admitted to Shunde Heping Surgery Hospital from June 2020 to February 2024 were non-randomly selected as the study subjects.Accord-ing to the different treatment methods, the patients were divided into combined group and VSD group, with twenty-nine cases in each group. The VSD group received conventional VSD treatment, and the combined group received platelet-rich plasma combined with VSD treatment. The therapeutic effect, wound healing, foot sensation and dorsalis pedis artery pulsation of the two groups were observed. Results The effective rate of treatment in the combined group was 93.10%(27/29),which was higher than 72.41%(21/29)in the VSD group, and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(χ2=4.350,P<0.05).The wound healing time, infection control time and active growth time of granulation tis-sue in the combined group were shorter than those in the VSD group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After 20 days of treatment, the visual analogue scale score of the combined group was lower than that of the VSD group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The fastest blood flow velocity and the slowest blood flow velocity of dorsalis pedis artery in the combined group were higher than those in the VSD group, and the ar-terial resistance index was lower than that in the VSD group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Platelet-rich plasma combined with VSD can effectively improve the treatment efficiency of pa-tients with chronic foot wounds, accelerate wound healing, relieve foot pain, and improve dorsal artery blood flow.
