Comparative Analysis of Adenoid Non-profiling Resection and Contouring Resection
Objective To compare and analyze the application effect of adenoid non-contour resection and contour re-section.Methods From August 2022 to December 2023,100 children with adenoidal hypertrophy who needed to be resected in Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Maoming Hospital were non-randomly selected as the research objects.They were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods,50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with contour resection,and the observation group was treated with adenoid non-contour resection.The operation related indexes,sleep respiratory function and complications were compared between the two groups.Results The operation time,intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time of the observation group were better than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the normal ventilation time between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).At five days after operation,apnea-hypopnea index in the observation group was less than that in the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 6.00%(3/50),which was lower than 14.00%(7/50)in the control group,and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=4.000,P<0.05).Conclusion Adenoid non-profiling resection can reduce intraoperative blood loss,shorten operation time,and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications,which is more advantageous than contouring resection.
