Effect of Atorvastatin as an Adjuvant Therapy in Patients with Hyperten-sive Intracerebral Hemorrhage
Objective To analyze the effect of atorvastatin in the adjunctive treatment of patients with hypertensive ce-rebral hemorrhage. Methods Eighty-four cases of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients admitted to Meitan County People's Hospital from February 2021 to February 2024 were non-randomly selected as the study subjects. They were divided into atorvastatin group and traditional group according to treatment method, with forty-two cases in each group.Atorvastatin group and traditional group were given conventional treatment, traditional group was given mannitol combined with acetylglutamide treatment, and atorvastatin group was treated with atorvastatin in combination with treatment in the conventional group. The total effective rate,Barthel index score, and lipid index of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate in the atorvastatin group was 97.62%(41/42),which was higher than 73.81%(31/42)in the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=9.722,P<0.05).After treatment, the Barthel index score of the atorvastatin group was higher than that of the traditional group, and the total cholesterol and triglycerides were lower than those of the traditional group, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Adjunctive therapy with atorvastatin in patients with hypertensive cerebral hemor-rhage is clinically effective in improving patients'ability to perform daily life and lowering their total cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
