Analysis of the Therapeutic Efficacy of Sodium Valproate Combined with Levetiracetam in Pediatric Epilepsy
Objective To analyze the effect of sodium valproate plus levetiracetam in the treatment of epilepsy in chil-dren.Methods A total of 100 children with epilepsy from Qingyang People's Hospital from March 2023 to March 2024 were non-randomly selected as the study objects.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into comparison group and investigation group,50 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with topira-mate+sodium valproate, and the investigation group was treated with levetiracetam+sodium valproate.Electrolyte metabolism, seizure, nerve damage factor level and treatment efficiency were compared between the two groups.Re-sults After treatment, the levels of electrolyte metabolism indexes and nerve damage factors in the investigation group were lower than those in the comparison group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the number of seizures in the investigation group was less than that in the comparison group, and the dura-tion was shorter than that in the comparison group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The ef-fective rate in the investigation group was 96.00%(48/50),which was higher than 80.00%(40/50)in the comparison group, the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.061,P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of levetiracetam+so-dium valproate has a high effective rate, can correct the electrolyte metabolism state, reduce the level of nerve damage factors in children, and control the seizure of epilepsy.
