Gender Inequity in Artificial Intelligence and Algorithm Regulation:An Analysis from the Perspective of Cultural Lag
In the diverse applications of artificial intelligence technologies, there exists a multitude of phenomena that reinforce gender inequality. How to change this situation and fully utilize emerging technologies to implement measures for gender equality is a critical aspect of algorithm regulation. This study explores the issues of gender inequality within the AI ecosystem from the dimensions of data, algorithms, and computational power. It analyzes the practical dilemmas in managing this inequality through the lens of cultural lag.By addressing the gaps in normative lag,institutional-policy lag,and cognitive-capacity lag,the paper proposes algorithm regulation pathways aimed at advancing gender inequality governance.
