A Dream of Red Mansions,using the Ming Dynasty as a metaphor for the Qing dynasty,is a literary masterpiece reflecting the current situation of the world at that time.The novel has a large amount of narration about diseases and medicine,and vividly shows the complex and chaotic medical market ecology in the Ming and Qing dynasties through the description of the portraits of doctors and patients of different classes.From the perspective of medical ethics,this paper makes a detailed text reading of several complete medical cases in the book,explores the communication situation between doctors and patients and the discourse power game between them,and then discusses the philosophy of life and wisdom of doctors in the Ming and Qing dynasties,with a view to providing inspiration for building a harmonious doctor-patient relationship in the new era.
