摘要

他者是跨文化传播研究的重要议题,对待他者的态度体现出审视他者的不同方式.论文对纪录片《美国工厂》在豆瓣和IMDb的影评展开主题分析,旨在探究"他者是如何被审视的"这一问题.研究发现,对他者的认知有三种情境,即先赋自我与绝对他者、关系中的他者,以及消失的他者.第一种情境将"我"与"他"视为相对独立的,第二种情境则认为自我与他者是相互构成的,第三种情境意味着对跨文化差异的否定性解读以及对我—他关系的转换.最后,论文讨论了他者审视过程中的情境化问题.

Abstract

The other is an important issue in intercultural communication,and the attitude towards the other reflects different ways of spectatorship.The study analyzes the reviews of the documentary American Factory on Douban and IMDb,aiming to discuss the question of"how the other is perceived."It finds that there are three situations in which the other is perceived,namely,the ascribed self and the absolute other,the other in relationship,and the vanishing other.The first situation views the two as relatively independent of each other.The second situation considers the self and the other to be mutually constituted.The third situation is a critical understanding and a transformation of the self-other relationship.Finally,the article discusses the situating issue in intercultural communication.
