本研究以社会信心为因变量,以19省(市、区)为研究对象,基于定性比较分析方法(QCA)中的模糊集分析法(fsQCA),以中国综合社会调查(CGSS2021)数据为样本,探究作为条件变量的诸多因素对社会信心的影响,并探究各类影响因素的不同作用,以及各类影响因素可能的多元组合与社会信心之间的因果关联.研究发现,传统媒介使用和新媒体使用对社会信心的影响有明显差异,新媒体使用是影响中国公众社会信心偏向的基础性因素,而地区人均收入因素的作用并不明显.总体而言,没有任何单一因素能够影响社会信心的感知.本研究得出形成社会信心感知的组合方案和影响社会信心感知的基本模式,从而拓展了媒介使用与社会信心研究的视角,为媒介使用与社会关系研究提供了新的实证分析结果.
Abstract
Social confidence refers to people's overall expectation on future social development,and studies on the influencing factors of social confidence has been a concerned topic in academia.However,the multiple combined factors involving media use is rarely studied.This study set social confidence as the dependent variable and 19 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)in China as the research object.The data was obtained from 2021 China General Social Survey(CGSS2021)and sample data was analyzed by the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method(fsQCA).This study used media contact,information source,new media use,interpersonal trust,social justice perception and regional per capita income as independent viables influenced on social confidence perception level,and explores the different roles and status of these influencing factors,as well as the possible combinations of these multi-influencing factors resulting on social confidence.The results showed that both traditional media use and new media use,are the most important factors affecting the social confidence perception of Chinese people,among which new media use is the basic factor affecting the social confidence perception of Chinese public,while the regional per capita income factor is not significant.In general,none of these factors can solely affect the perception level of social confidence.In this study,we discovered 5 types of combination schemes for the formation of high social confidence and 2 types of combination schemes for the formation of low social confidence.Among these 7 types of combination schemes,four basic modes affecting social confidence were generalized.Overall,this study expanded the research perspective of media use and social confidence,and new empirical analysis results for studies on the relationship between media and social relations were proved.
