Media convergence is a process of interactive evolution between new media and traditional media in the new era of communication. In this evolving landscape, new media and traditional media seamlessly intertwine, mutually shaping each other in a dynamic interplay that resembles a double helix structure. This interaction fosters a symbiotic relationship marked by competition yet also collaboration, ultimately exhibiting a prominent trend towards bidirectional integration. Therefore,it is crucial to break through the theoretical framework of traditional media transformation in the media convergence issue from a single dimension, include new media in all aspects of media convergence for research, and analyze the interaction mechanism between new media and traditional media. This interaction is like the two sides of a coin:it includes both the transformation of traditional media into new media and the mainstreaming of new media. This research aims to analyze the mechanism of interactive evolution between new media and traditional media from four aspects:"invasion of heterogeneous forces","opening of the closed system of traditional media","self-rescue of new mainstream media","marginal breakthrough of new media",and to uncover the dual practical structure of media convergence.
