Progress of Lignin Fractionation with Deep Eutectic Solvent
Biomass is an abundant and renewable resource in nature, with Wood Fiber being the most abundant. Lignin,as one of the main components of plant fibers,is a naturally occurring macromolecule containing benzene rings and has the potential for high added value utilization. This paper reviews the relevant research on the use of deep eutectic solvents (DES) for lignin separation, introduces the composition and properties of DES,discusses the mechanism of lignin separation by DES,explores the impact of auxiliary methods such as microwave, ultrasound, and steam explosion on the efficiency of lignin extraction by DES,as well as the recovery and utilization of DES,providing a reference for the research on DES-based lignin separation.
