Coronary heart disease(CHD)is characterized by high morbidity,disability and mortality,and is therefore known as the"No.1 killer"of human health.However,the management and timely diagnosis of CHD remains a major problem.Recent researches have suggested that microRNAs are involved in the regulation of various stages of coronary en-dothelial cells,lipid metabolism,vascular smooth muscle cells,inflammatory response and other pathophysiological proces-ses,and has revealed promising diagnostic and therapeutic strategies through which the regulation of microRNA function may be applied clinically.The present article makes a review on research progress of microRNA in CHD.
