Cardiovascular disease(CVD)is a common complication of chronic kidney disease(CKD).CVD can be divided into two categories:one is cardiovascular disease,common as atherosclerosis;another is cardiomyopathy,leading to changes in the structure and function of the heart itself,such as ventricular hypertrophy and cardiac dila-tation.Heart failure(HF)is a common result of these processes.This article reviews the common etiology and treatment progress of HF in CKD patients.
