Atrial fibrillation(AF)is a kind of common atrial arrhythmia,cardiac function damage and stroke caused by AF are important causes of disability and death.Epicardial adipose tissue(EAT)is a bioactive organ which has important endocrine and inflammatory functions.In recent years,studies have shown that EAT has a close relation-ship with the occurrence and development of AF.This article reviews the research progress of the relationship be-tween EAT and AF,aiming at providing new ideas for prevention and treatment of AF.
