Health information communication is an important interdisciplinary issue,which originated in the United States and was introduced to China in the late 1980s.Currently,health information communi-cation study is flourishing worldwide,and the study in China is also gradually becoming popular.The main topics of health information communication study are based on the combination of internal communication,interpersonal communication,organizational communication,group communication,mass communication,and cross-cultural communication.The era of media convergence poses challenges for research on health in-formation communication.Exploring the reliability,technique,channel,effectiveness and value of health in-formation communication in the era of media convergence needs to be paid attention to in the future relevant studies.
