Privacy protection is an important issue in digital governance and has received increasing at-tention from individuals and organizations in recent years.Based on the theory of trust and the principle of"mechanism",the theoretical framework of privacy protection mechanism in digital governance is construc-ted from the relevant concepts and dimensions of privacy protection in digital governance.Among them,tech-nology,system and cultural environment are the core elements of the mechanism of privacy protection in dig-ital governance,which mainly play the role of orientation,drive and regulation through the top-level design mechanism,technology-driven mechanism and collaborative regulatory mechanism,and jointly promote the effective operation of the mechanism of privacy protection in digital governance.From the perspective of the mechanism,we analyse the current situation of privacy protection in digital governance and the main prob-lems that exist,and put forward the optimization paths of improving privacy protection laws,regulations and institutional system,upgrading the technical capacity and level of privacy protection,and cohesion of multi-dimensional co-governance and cooperation in privacy protection.
