Influence of replacement rate and state of sewer sludge on concrete performance
The concrete was prepared by replacing sand with sewer sludge in different states(wet basis state or dry basis state). The effects of sewer sludge replacement rate and state on the working performance and mechanical properties of concrete were studied, and the durability and safety of concrete mixed with sewer sludge were analyzed. The results show that the mixing performance and mechanical properties of concrete will be affected by the addition of sewer sludge, and the higher the substitution rate is,the more obvious the concrete strength will decrease, the substitution rate will increase from 20%to 40%,and the 7 d compressive strength and 28 d compressive strength of concrete will decrease by 18.5%and 19.6%respectively.Compared with the concrete mixed with dry sewer sludge, the concrete mixed with wet sewer sludge has significantly decreased the strength and the durability. The radioactivity of concrete mixed with sewer sludge and the safety of heavy metal leaching meet the requirements of relevant standards.
