Research on the performance of bamboo raw fiber toughened gold tailing sand aerated concrete
Bamboo fiber reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete(BFAAC)with B06 grade gold tailings was prepared using bam-boo fiber as a reinforcing material. The effects of bamboo fiber content and length on the basic physical and mechanical properties of BFAAC,such as slurry flowability, gas evolution curve, dry density, and compressive strength, were analyzed. In addition,XRD and SEM techniques were used to compare the phase composition and microstructure of BFAAC.The results showed that the flowability and gas evolution height of BFAAC decreased with increasing bamboo fiber content. The dry density of the products increased, while the compressive strength and flexural strength showed an initial increase followed by a decrease. The optimum content of bamboo fiber was found to be 0.3%.The length of the fibers had no significant effect on the slurry properties and the basic physical and mechanical properties of the products.XRD and SEM analysis showed that the hydration products of BFAAC were mainly tobermorite and a small amount of C-S-H.The bamboo fibers did not participate in the hydration reaction between the matrix materials, but rather enhanced the material through physical effects.
