Study on the effect of ferronickel powder on hydration performance of cement
The ferronickel slag is made into powder with a particle size of less than 0.075 mm,used as a mineral admixture to replace part of the cement, the influence of nickel-iron powder on the hydration performance and strength of cement under different composite ratios was tested.Through XRF analysis,it is found that the nickel-iron powder contains more SiO2-MgO-FeO ternary system, which has good pozzolanic activity. The addition of nickel-iron powder can delay the hydration time of cement to a large extent.Compared with the blank group, the appearance time of the second hydration exothermic peak is delayed by 8h in the system of adding 30%nickel-iron powder. To reduce the hydration heat release of the system, compared with the blank group, when the content of nickel-iron powder was 10%,20%and 30%,the cumulative heat release of the system decreased by 33%,46%and 63%respectively.The addition of nickel-iron powder significantly reduces the compressive strength of the test block, but the nickel-iron powder has a secondary hydration effect, which can improve the later compressive strength of the slurry. In the case of adding 20%nickel-iron powder, the 28 d strength of the test block can reach 86%of the blank group.
