Synthesis and properties of polycarboxylate superplasticizer from 7-octene-1 alcohol polyoxyethylene ether
In this paper,Sodium hydride(NaH)as catalyst,7-octene-1 alcohol polyoxyethylene ether macromonomer was pre-pared by ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide(EO)induced by 7-octene-1 alcohol(OEA).Then,a new type of Polycarboxy-late Superplasticizer was prepared by copolymerization of 7-octene-1 alcohol polyoxyethylene ether macromonomer and acrylic acid. The results show that with 0.05%(macromonomer mass)NaH,the highest effective content of polyether is about 97%.With the in-crease of molecular weight of polyether, the dispersion ability of PCE increases first and then decreases. When the molecular weight of polyether is 4000,the performance of PCE is optimal. The optimum conditions were n(AA)∶n(OEA4000)=7,the dosage of Vc,hydrogen peroxide and mercaptoethanol were 0.6%,2.4%and 4%of total monomer mole. The dispersion and liquidity retention of PCE are close to that of HPEG-PCE,but the bubble stability is obviously enhanced, which can better improve the workability of concrete.
