Influence of polyacrylonitrile fibres on mechanical properties of waste ceramic coarse aggregate concrete
The mechanical properties of waste ceramic coarse aggregate concrete(RCAC)were improved by adding polypro-pylene fiber, and the optimal dosage of waste ceramic aggregate and the effect of polyacrylonitrile fiber dosage on the mechanical properties of RCAC were investigated. The results show that the optimum mixing amount of waste ceramic aggregate is 58%,and on the basis of the optimum mixing amount of waste ceramic aggregate, the addition of 0.8 kg/m3 polyacrylonitrile fibre can make the compressive strength of RCAC reach the level of the standard C30 concrete, while the addition of 1.2 kg/m3 polyacrylonitrile fibre can significantly improve the splitting tensile strength, which is more than that of the standard C30 concrete. The empirical equations derived from fitting the experimental data reflect the changing relationship between the polyacrylonitrile fibre admixture and the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of RCAC with coarse aggregate from waste ceramics.
