Study on the road use and durability of sulfur concrete prepared with different fillers
Selecting coke, fly ash,and gold tailings with different mass ratios as fillers to prepare sulfur concrete(SC),the strength, deformation characteristics, chloride ion permeability resistance,freeze-thaw cycle durability of SC with different fillers were studied, and the water stability and high-temperature resistance to rutting of SC were tested. The results show that when the sulfur content is constant, the higher the fly ash content, the higher the peak stress of the concrete. The peak stress of SC made from coke is lower than that of SC made from gold tailings powder, and the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of SC containing gold tailings powder in the filler are higher. As the sulfur content increases, the porosity of SC decreases and the chloride ion permeability significantly improves; After 200 freeze-thaw cycles, the peak strength decreased by 29.5%,the yield strength decreased by 30.2%,and the Young's modulus decreased by 41.5%when the sulfur content was 30%.The use of gold tailings powder as a substitute for coke results in greater SC dynamic stability and stronger high-temperature resistance to rutting.
