Preparation and performance study of polymer mortar for desert sandy land
In this study,slag/fly ash is used as alkali-activated cementitious material, common sand and desert sand are used as fine aggregates, and the four-factor three-level orthogonal test is used to study the effects of fly ash substitution rate, alkali e-quivalent,alkali exciter modulus, and desert sand substitution rate on the mortar fluidity, flexural strength, and compressive strength of alkali-excited slag mortar, and the microstructure of alkali-excited mortar with different ratios were analyzed by using SEM and energy spectnum analysis(EDS).The results showed that the compressive strength of alkali-excited mortar gradually decreased with the increase of fly ash dosage.Desert sand had the most significant effect on the flow of mortar.Desert sand has an improvement effect on the early mechanical properties of mortar, while it limits the development of its later strength. The highest compressive strength of 72.9 MPa was achieved when the fly ash substitution rate was 0,desert sand substitution rate was 40%,alkali equivalent was 8%and alkali exciter modulus was 1.4.In addition,SEM/EDS analysis revealed that the slag content could promote the disso-lution of fly ash to a certain extent, and the gel also showed strong encapsulation for desert sand.
