Although the widely-adopted low-emissivity window demonstrates favorable energy-saving effects,it lacks the ability to regulate solar heat gain.Compared to the solar heat gain non-adjustable static windows,the intelligent adjustable transparent en-closure structure with low heat gain during the cooling season and high heat gain during the heating season is more energy-effi-cient.This paper introduces a novel film material comprising three nano-functional layers embedded with Polydimethylsiloxane poly-mer elastomers to prepare transparent building envelope structure that can intelligently and dynamically adjust solar heat gain,im-proving building energy efficiency and comfort.The intelligent dynamic adjustment film can achieve a wide range of direct solar transmittance adjustment.The energy-efficiency of this intelligent window has been validated through building energy consumption simulation,showing a significant HVAC system energy savings range of 2.4%to 13.8%around China compared to traditional solar heat gain non-adjustable static windows.
